About the Art: A reminder for rest! In a day and age of the Internet and overstimulation, it’s hard to find time for ourselves, to prioritize ourselves, and take a moment or longer to nourish and rest. This record, and the imagery is a reminder of the way nature works, hibernation, things that grow, the cycle of life. there’s no stopping the cycle, but we can bring awareness to it, as we can often forget.my hope is that this imagery will bring some quiet to the space that it’s in, the peace it provide, while creating it, and in even the shortest moment it may take to observe it.

Materials Used: Acrylic paint, brushes, and acrylic paint pens

About the Artist: Naomi Duben is an artist based in Los Angeles, known for her expertise in street chalk art, mixed media, and traditional painting. She grew up in Marin County, just north of San Francisco, where her appreciation for nature and the bohemian lifestyle of the area became defining elements in her work.

Naomi's artistic abilities encompass a range of mediums, including street chalk painting, murals, mixed media collage, and traditional paintings in acrylic and oil. Her works explore a variety of themes, including feminism, Buddhism, spirituality, nature, and animals, often blending realism with fantasy and using an audacious palette of colors.

For Naomi, the most fulfilling aspect of her art is its impact on the viewer. Although she can be meticulous with her work, she recognizes that art is a universal language that transcends her own understanding and takes pleasure in the profound emotional responses her art elicits in others.

Naomi's passion for creating impactful work is evident in her preference for large-scale projects that leave a lasting impression on the viewer. She thrives on collaboration and cherishes opportunities to work with others and create alongside fellow artists. Currently, she travels the country, participating in chalk street painting festivals, connecting with local communities in each new city she visits. Naomi also looks forward to meeting fellow chalk artists from different states, sharing in their mutual love for this unique art form.
