Crashing Waves

About the Art: This record makes me think of the sound of crashing waves. I created this piece using resin techniques to form the wave cells and left some of the record bare not to loose the unique canvas.

About the Artist: Shannen is an Irish, abstract artist based in San Diego after moving from Ireland to California in 2018 with her husband. After studying child education and being a teacher for 10 years Shannen discovered her true passion in painting. In 2020, Shannen decided to solely focus on her artwork and soon after that began taking part in local art exhibitions, shows and fairs.

Shannen’s intuitive process combines the Celtic energy of Ireland and the spiritual light of California to create abstract pieces that carry serenity, peace and happiness into a space. Shannen’s purpose as an artist is to bring more light into other’s homes through her art. She uses pops of color to create energy, movement and joy while also paying attention to neutral base tones to keep each piece serene and calm in it’s own way.
