Spooky Piñatas w/ Lerida Armendariz

Join us in the Garage Studio for a FREE special Artist lead workshop!

Hey you. Led by Teaching Artist, Lerida Armendariz, participants will learn how to create their very own spooky piñata dream house. Taking inspiration from Barbie's dream house, learn the process and technique of creating piñatas while creating your own dream house! In this sculptural workshop, you will learn how to construct a 3D form using cardboard and other recycled materials and bring life, color, and personality to your own piñata while celebrating the beautiful tradition of piñata making!

Things to know:

• When: The workshop is on Saturday, October 5th from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Please arrive as early as 15 minutes before to get yourself set up and situated. 
• Where: We are located at 1065 University Ave. San Diego, CA 92103 (on the corner of University and Vermont).
• Seats are limited! If you need an extra plus 1 or an extra extra plus 1, give us a heads up so we can accommodate.  
• Parking: We have LIMITED spots in our parking lot located off the alley behind our building. There is also free all-day parking on nearby streets.
• Youth safety: Teens between the ages of 12-15 must have a waiver signed by a guardian to attend workshops alone. ArtReach will have waivers on hand, or you can sign the waiver (provided as a PDF download after ticket purchase) and email it to garage@artreachsandiego.org.
• Running late? Not a problem! If you’re running behind and are going to be late, we have plenty of ArtReach staff to catch you up! Please contact garage@artreachsandiego.org and let us know your ETA.
• Something came up and you can’t make it? No worries. We will miss you but we understand. Shoot us an email and we’ll change your RSVP status. Refunds on donations are not available, but you may roll your reservation over to any available Garage workshops.
